Mount Nicholson is located in Wan Chai District in Hong Kong Island, it has its summit reached through climbing only, since there is no well-paved route. Both the Face Rock and the Eagle Mouth's Rock boosts the popularity of this mountain. Climbing up them are so much fun and they can be regarded as another form of hiking, unlike what other well-paved trail in Hong Kong Island.

We started by walking up a catch-water, shortly afterwards, the beginning of climbing section came. The route was sandy and slippery since my shoes were only good at gripping soil and mud but not rocks with sand.

Then, we followed the ribbons and went further up until we saw the eagle's mouth rock. Since the route became steeper the higher up we went, so it would be easier if we held onto the tree trunk along our way.

Photos taken on the Eagle's mouth Rock and the Face Rock respectively.

Since the route was direct, we took less than an hour to reach the summit (from 17:30). However, by the time we were getting down, the sun has set and thus, it was dark out there, with the view of the Repulse Bay.
