For those who fancy the mountain as much as the sea, they should definitely take this path! This leads you from residential estates in Siu Sai Wan to the beach with most winds in the South- Big Wave Bay. You can enjoy some breezes and the sounds of the waves on your way before sunbathing, chilling on the beach or jumping into the sea for a nice and cool swim.

I started from the staircase at the park in between Fullview Garden and Island resort, walked along Dragon Trail until Cape Collinson Road Rest Garden, which is a junction joining up to Cape Collinson Road. Turning left is to Cape Collinson Correctional Institution, whereas turning right is towards Cape Collinson Chinese Permanent Cemetery.

Here, I turned left, then started walking up Pottinger Peak Country Trail with around 500 steps, until there was a road sign indicating me to turn left and walked down to Big Wave Bay.

Roads are well designed and with clear instructions to indicate the route. Visitors just have to remember to walk straight before witnessing the sign 'Big Wave Bay'. For visitors who would like to visit the Dragon Back, one of the most famous hike in the Eastern district in Hong Kong, they should carry on towards the sign 'Ma Tong Ngau' at the same road junction.
